We are in for a multi-generational pull. And we will probably have to take a massive hit before we face up to it.

We may take that hit even if we do face up to it. How we fare in the struggle will not depend only on facing up to it, but on how we decide to deal with the situation once we have faced up to it.

It's not such a simple thing as some would have us believe.
