That was implicit. Jeans and T-shirt are casual wear. Attending a funeral with so little regard for the traditional decorum is disrespectful to the deceased and their loved ones. It says "I don't give a shit", IMO. It is like laughing at a funeral. Traditionally, highly socially unacceptable because it reflects a disregard for the gravity of the occasion.
