Some ideas the security forces should be planning against -and finding deterrents against crazy guys- instead of finger printing and mugshots:

1) Highjack oil tanker. Load it with high explosives send against harbour at full speed. Perpetrators jump out before and run on speed boats. Put some corpses and false tracks left inside ship to mislead autorities and put them off track.

Something like that will result.

Put harbour out of commission for months. Disturb trade.

2) Snipers shoot fuel tank truck near B747 (parked at the finger) at a high peak traffic airport. Explosion will trigger further explosion of airplanes nearby. Pu air post of commission for months.

3) Cheap old sub out of commission seats quielty on the sea bed. Fully loaded with explosioves. Perpetrators flee. Wait for target to pass by and detonate by remote control. Make a expensive combing of harbour areas all over the world. Disturb trade. Expensive upgrade of Coast Guard.

But you know those security measures are just to crteate pseudo-jobs and for psychological effect.

Hoon Must Resign over Soldier Death, Says Howard

By Neville Dean, PA News

Conservative leader Michael Howard called on Defence Secretary Geoff Hoon today to resign over the death of a soldier shot after being ordered to hand back his body armour.

Sergeant Steve Roberts, 33, a soldier from Bradford in the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment, was shot dead in an attack by Iraqi dissidents in March last year.

Sgt Roberts had been told to hand back his flak jacket and give it to other troops.

His wife Samantha has already called on Mr Hoon to resign.

Mr Howard said the affair amounted to a “dereliction of duty” by the Government and said Mr Hoon should take responsibility and quit.

The Tory leader said: “I do not think there is any greater dereliction of duty for any Government than to send men into battle without the proper equipment.

“That is clearly what happened here. We know it is what happened, we know that the probability is that Sgt Roberts would not have been killed if he had had body armour.

“We know that he was asked to give his body armour to another soldier who was assumed to be at greater risk and we know the Government lost 200,000 pieces of body armour which could and should have been made available to our troops in the Gulf.

“It is a very serious state of affairs. I entirely agree with Mrs Roberts in her request that Geoff Hoon should resign.”

Mr Howard said he had met Mrs Roberts and had agreed with her that Mr Hoon should do the honorable thing and accept responsibility for the missing body armour.

Mr Howard added: “It is our job as an Opposition to hold the Government to account. When the Government is guilty of failure, it is our job to say so. They were guilty of a very serious failure in this instance.”

He continued: “When someone is killed almost certainly because the proper equipment was not made available to them because of shortages due to the Government’s incompetence, then I think that is a situation in which he (Mr Hoon) should resign.”
