I was talking about standards of living, of which material (as opposed to monetary) wealth is one factor, not "consumption". Try reading some Adam Smith or Milton Friedman, GST. Your way of looking at and judging trade issues is simply wrong, but you'd rather babble on about impending disasters (or just change the subject) than to consider long-ago proven truths.
