until I spent some time just watching time go by (and the changing colors) in the dessert of Baja (including the coastal scenery)... did I begin to understand the beauty of the dessert...

i imagine, these places you mention must be even more so...

(always seems to be a slew of photographers though)

I have been to places where i used to go as a child. In those days, rarely you would find another person. Today i find the evidence of crowds... evidenced by the trash they leave behind... unexplainable.

then i understand the reasons behind "fees and restrictions" that now have been imposed in simple wilderness trails...

so... i go on in my search for those unspoiled places that remain... i hope to get to see many places yet in Australia, South America, Asia and Africa that would be somehow untouched... although i am running out of time.

we will not die as a result of an atomic holocaust. we will commit mass murder, [self inflicted] by the explosion of population; like rats, stepping onto one another...

sorry, i did not mean to get so somber at the end of this post...
