BTW, it thought about raining here yesterday, then
decided no way. Dry and waiting.

We had a little snow overnight and temperatures near zero
today.

I decided to play hooky.

So did the kids. (Actually, school was cancelled.)

After cleaning the cars and driveway the boys and I brought
the old Flexible Flyer sled over to the hill in the back
yard. It was supercharged, today. Due to the extreme
cold, the snow stayed very light and powdery. My youngest
son and I went on together for the first run and it took
off like a lighting bolt. Even I got a rush of excitement
like I was kid and began whooping it up and yahooing
nervously as we gained speed and felt the hard bumps
underneath us of ice and rock.

It was way too much fun!

The sled traveled way up onto our neighbors property. Further than we had ever gone before. At one time I began
to wonder if we were going to stop in time to avoid their
driveway.

It sure is good to be a kid...

...at heart.
