Gitmo - and a chance to watch a looping tape of our fearless leader giving speeches for about 7 days straight.
That should soften them up.

Hey - we rule the world, remember? Everyone is equal - but some are more equal than others...

What do you think will happen to any visitor to the US who flips off the new cameras at all immigration points?
It won't be fun.

I was just thinking that too. Jingoism is so much easier when you have never left the state you were born in. Then, if you are a northerner, you can assume the south is a land of tarpaper shacks and junk cars in front yards. Southerners can assume the north is a land of ice fishing shacks and empty rust belt factories.
Then just enlarge the scale and consider all the Americans who are both frightened and condescending towards folks in foreign lands, when they don't know anything about the people or culture.
As Mark Twain said so well :
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.
