The existing servers are Sun Ultra One's. I think they're all dual-processors, but not along the lines of the kind of horsepower the new database server has.

When I do get the migration done, I expect that consistent speed will be one of the bigger benefits aside from having a LOT more features.

By way of example, iHub has a similar webserver (just one) and though it's crashing far too often, when it runs, it runs VERY fast.

I'm interviewing a consultant tomorrow who may be able to help out with the reliability of iHub's webserver and the shared ad-server.
