I don't mean to get too worked up. I know people think Ted Kennedy is the "conscience of his party" (that's the Democratic party; any other party where Ted's involved you're gonna want to bring your snorkel).

Funniest thing I've read in weeks.

This is not bad, either:

There are so many criticisms of the war in Iraq which can — though often don't — have intellectual credibility. But the idea that this war was fought because of the obvious political windfall which would redound to George W. Bush is among the dumbest. The riskiness of the Iraq venture was so colossal, so fraught with unknowns and downsides, it pushes the idea George W. Bush was willing to do it simply for the political benefits beyond the critical mass of asininity.

Kennedy is right about the Iraq War being hatched for oil and political reasons. It is difficult for any Bush suporter to point to any concrete evidence that we are safer with Saddam gone, or that it is worth the tremendous cost to do so. Obviously, that war was aged for different reasons than they were telling us. BTW: Where are those oil revenues that Bushies promised us? and why has the price of gas gone up not down after taking over the 2nd biggest oil country in the world? Obviously, tax payers and consumers wil be the last to benefit. We pay for it all but get nothing back.
