Payroll and other taxes take about 35-40% out of a normal paycheck. The rich heir now can get by with low capital gains taxes and everything else is scott free. Makes for a richer upper class, a permanent upper class, and a struggling middleclass. John Edwards is right when he says middleclas peoplew 20-30 years ago could make ends meet and save. Nowadays it's week to week and deeper in debt. Of course it's cheaper debt and cheaper dollars now. The dollar down 31% since Bush took office. I'm about to get a check in Euros and I'm glad. Euros are much stronger now which makes one wonder if Bush debt is a good idea. Aren't we 31% weaker?
