Al Gore's speech today should be ignored. No serious policy person could give the speech Al Gore gave today.

Al Gore lost me in 2000 when I saw him on TV speaking in a black church about "three-fifths of a person". I guess he needed to "energize his base" by making sure they knew he opposed that law.
