I've never seen such dangerous driving out of a cop car, for no valid reason other than they appeared to be venting their anger over the budgets. You're making quite a few assumptions here, are you not? As a frequent speeder who is frequently caught and frequently ticketed for doing it, I must say I have a number of bad cop stories I can tell, as well. In fact, the well-known Tucker Prison Farm is not far from here (the prison which the movie "Brubaker" was based on); and I suspect there is a prison full of inmates who can tell stories about angry cops who pulled them over for no reason, mistreated them in all sorts of ways, and every last one of them is innocent. Damned police! Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. And there's never one around when you need them. Too busy beating the hell out of Rodney King and using the N-word, bungling investigations, and mistreating the King of Pop.

Some people let their imagination go wild. It may be relaxing to some, I guess. I drive very rarely, and when I do (and I don't need to think about anything urgent) I turn on talk radio. Joe
