The mystery is why Miller remains a Democrat. I don't buy the tradition-of-many-generations crap. His party has turned to traitors and become an enemy rather than a loyal opposition, and he just wrote an entire book to point that out.

Rather, I think that he, like Leiberman, is looking forward to the pile of rubble that the domestic enemy will make of the party in November, and angling for a major roll in building a party that can re-acquire its right to be called American.

Such has been achieved by our major parties before in history, and may yet again, by the fatally-flawed Democrats...

" Zell sure has the Georgia Democrats screwing themselves into the ground. I suspect Carter will attack pretty soon. "

McAuliffe, interviewed on radio this am: said of Zell Miller leaving the Demos "He never votes on our side anyway. I hope he doesn't let the door hit him on the way out".

The interviewer did not ask McAuliffe how he made a quick 20 million from bankrupt Global crossing.
