the colder it is the better the skidoos go, -- except when it is too cold and the ice cracks, letting in slush. cold = swamp drillie drillie. cold is good. you have lived in florida for too long. time to get back in the real paradise. lakes with ice 3 feet thick, white ghouls of frost on trees that crack like rifle shots at night, breath you can see from a 1/2 mile away, smoke that flows horizontally from chimneys, tires that go bump bump bump with square wheels for 5 miles after you start out in the morning, tongues that stick to metal, exhausts blinding the driveway with frozen smog, cars that won't start unless you plug them in 24-7, crunch crunch crunch of snow everywhere you go, mukluks to the office, frozen noses, toes, and cheeks, toques pulled over the face, balaclavas, air tight heaters, icicles hanging from noses, chain saws that break, and break and break, water in the gas, long black skating rinks connecting towns and villages.. and people not complaining about the cold when its only 20 below farenheit.. that is paradise. no flies.
