I do write calls on multiple contracts. Since my broker charges only $14.95 each way (in and out), my transaction costs are minimal. For instance, the calls I sold yesterday for $1.00 will net me $985.05 per 1000 shares (10 contracts) IF NOT CALLED and I can let them die a natural death (I won't have to buy them back).

This is a pretty good return for a two day exposure.

Of course, I always know that I run a small risk of something untoward occurring that will drive the stock much higher than the strike price. But, again, this is a small risk given recent market activity.
