I wouldn't expect those guys to be impressed. They like selling displays that cost over $5K. LCOS will enable high quality (HDTV) to the masses for what a good 36in set cost a few years ago. The value is to consumers and to the companies selling the new sets... they don't have to start from scratch to offer improving resolution. Just let Moore's Law give you a new model every year. Also lets them sell good, better, best at 50" without 3 completely different designs. Maybe Intel uses this to Trojan horse more Intel stuff into the home.
