JF, blaming others for your own choices is usually a liberal syndrome. The doctors told us what they thought was bad for us, and the liberals took that one step further and blamed our obesity on the food itself, as well as the "evil" corporations that allegedly tried to get us addicted to the stuff.

As for "fat lawsuits," you can do a search on Google for that very phrase. Watch as the activist lawyers now turn highly refined carbs into the new "nicotine" and twist Dr. Atkins' research into "proof" for their own agendas.

re: The liberal establishment took the recommendations of the medical establishment at the time and ran away with it.

Jeez, are you so brainwashed that you have take the most mundane issue and frame it in liberal and conservative terms? It's just about what we eat, the doctors told us fat was bad for us, we ALL believed them.

Funny, isn't it?

John,

In case you were not aware of it, trial lawyers, like unions, have liberals as their patrons, and pay them the protection money. That's were the association comes from, but there are some philosophical issues that reinforce the association.
