Agreed... on both the odds for FLA, and your retiree's aversion to taxes (only a little more intense then the rest of us :)

But - with taxes - it's usually a personal calculation (does my family benefit, or not?)

I wouldn't be too sure that both Parties won't run on 'lower taxes' programs --- with a whole lot of attention paid to the middle class.

The Democrats have developed a blind spot over Florida ever since their illegal coup attempt FAILED there.

The people of the panhandle were so-so on George Bush in 2000. They saw what THAT got them-and they still have the spike in gun purchases to remind them. (As Jefferson said, "It's a democracy, IF you can KEEP it.")

They showed the world what they've learned, in 2002. I think they'll remember for a long, long time...
