Kayaker: The two of us have been around long enough to have "nearly" mastered the phenomenon, right. Well, perhaps one of us <g>. I short calls sometimes but usually chicken out when they move against me. I should watch for short term (2 day) opportunities as you did. I've been tempted to short Feb/Apr 55-60 puts but hate to be tied up that long. I think I'll look for a general market swoon down in Feb/Mar.
