A needle in a haystack. It is like the desperate hunt for WMD such that when they find a few cannisters laced with chemicals, some of the BUshies would like to perceive that as the find of the century.

Was this survey done before the release of the job growth figures of 1000 (one thousand). Before the labor department report that people have stopped looking for jobs. It is one thing to look at all the propaganda and start to feel upbeat and hope that they would get their jobs back soon. wonder how they feel after seeing job growth to be 1000 and unemployment being 5.7% since many have stopped looking for jobs and having to live off of the wealth and savings from the Clinton years.

Repubs are grabbing at any straw to try to make economy look great. That early Jan consumer sentiment was merely after-Xmas sale shoppers stocking up on christmas bargains for 2004 gift giving & taking advantage of drastic price cuts on winterwear & luxury merchandise. GW supporters translate that into surge in consumer confidence. It's not & won't be until Pres Bush addresses offshoring of jobs & curtails flood of wage-eroding, dirt-cheap labor.
