Ted Re...The Wahibis are in power in SA. Why would they want to have an election? This is a new one on me. I didn't know king Faisel and his princes were Wahhabi clerics. Links please. If you are trying to say the clerics now have more power, and could overthrow the kingdom at any time; then the reasons for elections would be to confirm that power, and more importantly, control the money, instead of letting the king and his extended family have most of it. Money buys you power, so until the Wahhabi's have the money, in addition to followers, I would have to go with the kingdom.
