Good point, and yes, that was a very valuable display of testosterone. The demonstration that our President can play the role of the hotshot in the jumpsuit really enhanced our image as a country. Some were suggesting that our President should be more mature, and act like a leader rather than a show-man, but I think he was just trying to appeal to the people who voted for him, and their children of course, and to give the troops a good show.

I watched (together with a few thoughtful friends) the video produced by MoveOn.org called "Uncovered: The Whole Truth About the Iraq War". The video does provide overwhelming testimony (from numerous highly qualified people) that, shall we say, strongly suggests that the Bush administration exploited September 11th to pursue a war against Iraq, that they misrepresented the then-current intelligence, re-stated earlier intelligence data in carefully-chosen language, and made numerous mis-statements to the media and to Congress in order to let this play out. It's a show for them, and it still makes me angry that Congress so thoroughly failed us, and to a lesser extent, that Colin Powell undermined his own credibility with his UN presentation in February. The video should be broadcast; I wonder if it will be.
