>> So liberals are elitists and Bush Pioneers aren't?

I can only tell you what the people I know say. Most are moderates, somewhat conservative. And these people say Bush comes across as "one of us", a relatively ordinary person. There isn't an ounce of elitism in him, in my view.

Obviously, liberals like to namecall, so the few liberals I know can't stand him, and are quick to say so. But in my view, Bush is more representative of the "common person" than Clinton ever was -- Clinton's early years notwithstanding. During Clinton's years as governor lying became a sport for him (just as his womanizing did) and this helped him fit right in with the Hollywood elite when the time came.
