So for someone like me who was opposed to the intervention, you statement is, in affect, an indictment of an entire nation.

It didn't accuse them in a formal way, or even state an opinion that they had done something wrong. The 2nd thing wouldn't even be an indictment but it doesn't really matter because I didn't do it. Also see the comment number 1 below

You are claiming that their's was a particular position when it was not. It was the position of just a few, giving little support to your argument.

Here you have an actual point rather then a phony charge that I was indicting a nation. If you made that point initially we would have been spared a lot of what you call games.

But -

You initially said -
" Furthermore, the allies in question have considerably more experience with the ME than we do. Their histories are much more intertwined."

to which I responded

"The government of the western European country who's history is most intertwined with the ME supported military action to remove Saddam from power."

1 - Even if saying that the UK supported us was an indictment (and it was not), my statement would not be an indictment because I said the government supported us.

2 - The general population of the UK don't have considerable experience in the Middle East. Of course that doesn't make them wrong but your whole argument was based on the idea of European experience.

Thirdly, the fact that it took nearly ten posts to get to this point is another indication of the game playing quality of your posts of late.

The fact that your point about indicting was wrong but that you defended it rather then talk about the earlier issue is closer to game playing then anything I did. I'm sorry but I don't like false accusations made against me. I am prickly about such things
