End badly is far too mild a description of what will happen when the BUBBLES (note plural) burst.

I've got no stats but it was my impression (I've been daytrading since mid-97) that in 2000-2002 you saw those guys (oj, chief, etc.) stop posting as much and they crawled away to their own sites (yeah not completely but they got real quiet compared to b4).

It was only in 2003 they started to become vocal again. They started to appear on Zeev's site (oj for example) as the market bottomed. Chief was the same way. I haven't seen anyone who was bearish at the right times and bullish (at the right times) as well.

Above all, it is pretty easy to create an impression of unmitigated success on the internet. All these guys (Zeev too I'd bet) do damage control or favorable spin. I'd like to see what the numbers are but I'd bet you'll find that these bulls cut their posts down to 1/4 in the collapse. Now, they are happy campers. Nothing changes. When you're right you're a god. When you're wrong you disappear or quiet down. I don't mean anything neg about these guys in particular (just using the "higher" profile as an example) .. human nature is what it is.

Too bad the trading records aren't public knowledge. Additionally, I'd bet they wouldn't match up so well with what the posting record indicates. -s-
