I think 500 Americans needlessly killed; with more to die. I think several thousand Americans wounded, many with torn limbs; with more to become wounded and more loss of limbs.

I think voters--for the life of me, I don't understand why some of the crowd on this thread don't see it--saw his moon and mars gambit, his 1.5 billion for marriage counseling and his want for the Hispanic vote as nothing but pure pandering.

It's one thing to lie to the American people and then have the American people see their brethern killed and wounded as a result of those lies. It's quite another to witness not a self-critique on the part of the Administration as to why this sadness is happening, but to see them not skip a beat and immediately move into electioneering politics by pandering for votes.

Lie and pander--I think folks are finally beginning to realize that this is what this White House is all about. Pretty soon we'll be seeing the GOPwinger statewide candidates begin distancing themselves from the White House. I suspect the final bell for Bush will ring when Arnold starts taking mighty potshots at the Bush-Cheney policies.

And Blair can't hold out forever. I predict he'll begin contradicting Bush as soon as he can figure a way to get his Brits back home.

As for the UN? The Bush-Cheney Administration has become a joke and the National Security Council is still seething over the fact that Bush spied on the member homes and offices. The woman diplomat from Chile is particularly peeved!

All Bush will have is his base, which is comprised of some of the characters we see posting on this thread. And I don't think he'll get enough mileage from them.
