LB, We're talking about food. It's one thing to buy foreign-made apparel, but I'm uncomfortable with thought of entire food supply made in foreign countries. They are more likely to be careless, use toxic substances for fertilizer without government inspectors to enforce regulations. Bribery of officials is rampant in 3rd world. We should keep USA self-sustaining & strive to achieve substitue for oil ASAP. More we depend on other nations, the more we are at their mercy. The Declaration of Independence is still a venerable document....we're not interested in becoming one huge homogenzed, boring world. Greedy multi-national corporations are salivating at thought of their profits from that type of world--but they're the only ones.
