We're still responsible for our credit card bills even if we gave it to our spouse or teenager and they ran up the bills. When you hand someone your credit card, you take the consequences, painful and unfair though that may be. I could understand someone declining to pay up under those circumstances. But it would be outrageous to withhold payment and the grounds that he's "keeping his own money."
