Everyone's IPO timetable will speed up dramatically if we get an RFID bubble along the lines of what's happening with the nanos right now. If that happens, profitability will be a moot point, at least for a little while. Of course, if Savi, Matrics or Alien have IPOs in that climate, their valuations would likely be prohibitively high.

But I do think an RFID mania is likely, sooner or later. The tech is too significant not to inspire some irrational exhuberence.

You might be right about the valuation of RAE. I'm not buying any at these levels, although I have yet to sell any of my position. The preliminary results of their MRQ call for earnings around 400-500k. If they can put togethere a couple of quarters like that, they would have a PE of ~25-35 (assuming 50m outstanding, which I believe is correct). Somewhat high, but not outrageous.

Thanks for the EXEE info, I hadn't seen that. It seems to me that they are picking exactly the wrong time to go private, but time will tell.
