I think you are overreacting. We have a criminal process in place which has served for more than a century, I don't think too many Americans are interested in vigilante justice on the part of any nation even us. In fact, the cowboy yeehaw attitude of Bush towards terrorism (shoot first think second) is scarier to a lot of people than seeing OBL in the court system. The overt killing of Saddam's two sons without any sort of due process was an example of violence and uncivilized behavior I never thought I'd see from a US white house. Hard to believe a white house spokesperson would ever openly advocate assassination of the leader of a sovereign nation either. Anyway the 04 primaries are attracting a mainstream voting crowd because dems are very concerned about the country with Bush as president, and as I have posted here earlier some primary states are seeing lots of crossover republicans switching to dem who want to see a Bush removal. Whenever there is a high voter turnout, even for a primary it means the candidate who wins will be mainstream. I will let the primaries work for me and assume the winner is the most credible mainstream candidate, and it may well be Dean (it also might be Clark, personally I doubt it will be Kerry or Gephardt). Dean is very strong on these trade matters. If Clark wins the nomination that is fine with me also, but he will need a strong economic voice as VP. We don't want another president who eats, sleeps and dreams war. Military experience is important but every time a Bush gets elected (hopefully this is the last one) - the US starts to operate by, for and about the military with NO consideration given to anything else (except tax cuts for the wealthy). I'm sick of it. Time for another builder, vs. a destroyer.
