he disparity exists because the middle class are not sufficiently enough in the investor class. Our system is one which rewards performance and success, which is in my opinion as it should be. I do not believe all people should automatically be members of the "investor" class. I've prepared tax returns for people who made 20,000 a year and still managed to make a full ($2,000) IRA deposit. It is really about the priorities people set more than it is some inherent economic disadvantage.
