Anybody around who's within driving distance of Monterey should head on down to see a few interesting events. Puddlewife and I went to see the Monarch butterflies congregating in Pacific Grove which, while not overwhelming, was very interesting to see. And about 5 or 10 miles south of Carmel is Garrapata State Park, where the ladybugs are congregating this time of year. About 1 mile or so from the highway the trail leads into a small dell where there are thousands of ladybugs clustered all over the plants and trees.
