The bankruptcy reform bill was kicking around Congress before Bush was elected. I think it's been kicking around since 1999, the last boom year, which makes sense. It's not going anywhere until the economy is back on track.

So your author is a lightweight know-nothing. But, given that he has a political agenda - get a "progressive" elected to the White House - no surprise there.

I vote we ban "news articles" and "op-eds" from political organizations until after the election, if not forever. Real journalists are bad enough.
