As a southern voter, I think that is a very good assessment by Klein. I think Clark has a lot of qualities that appeal to southerners.

Also he is right that Clark has to be careful about imprudent remarks. Southerns are sticklers for politeness ... Bush is seen as a decent, amiable man, and if Clark goes off on him too hard, it will be seen as rude.
