I wondered why there were so many cars parked in the Eucalyptus groves! But I think October is a tad early for them, anyway.

PG, October sounds very early to me too, maybe it was the surfer dudes hanging in the groves - there's a couple of spots they like to park where they can take a shortcut to the beach. Some folks might also have been hiking the bluff, but it's mostly a horse trail on that end of the park and those folks usually use the parking lots.

Sometime, if you get the chance on a full moon night, go to the flat, main trail right next to those amazing rocks jutting out into the ocean - if you hit it at high tide it's even more powerful, but anytime is pretty spectacular. Plenty of Jack rabbits and Red Fox as well. Spring will get you incredible wildflowers too.
