Mike, None of this is fact, it is only conjecture. Since the tax cut has not been tested in court, it could be a big negative. However, if the world is logical, they will not destroy the financial system to screw folks out of their dividends. Voting rights is a different story. I loan out stock all the time and can still vote.

yes technically, no stocks held in a margin acc receive the tax benefit.

stocks held in cash accounts get the dividend benefit.

you need separate account titles essentially.
