yes... except that Ross Perot gave the libertarians hope to win the big lottery and since then... the light from the flash has not allowed them to see clear... what you say is very true... i.e. start at the local level and build up your support. however... is it feasible ? do you really think that the masses will go and vote for someone demanding that the individual start working on their own account and work to create the environment that is needed to have a reasonable hope to succeed as the party of the majority ? based on principles that make the individual the responsible one look around you... we are full of people with the belief that either the government.. or the evil corporations are to blame for the ills of society... forgetting that... people form governments.... (individuals) shareholders own corporations.... (and shareholders, ultimately, are ... people (individuals) we are dead... the only "freedom" is the one you will be able to afford on your own accord... the rest is a mirage allowed by one's mind and whatever government you live under.
