I think more downside is possible, but disagree with the fellow's reasoning -- take the south african stocks for instance -- every market participant knows that their earnings have sucked -- anyone who owns them KNOWs where the rand has been -- it's built into the stock prices -- those stocks have gone nowhere for a long time.

As they climb now, the action has been very, very hesitant -- more likely earnings reports for those -- no matter how bad, get bought -- not sold, IMO.

Stocks like GSS and BGO -- leaders, until late November -- these stocks are down quite a bit more than the 17% he talks about for the HUI. I think they are buys on weakness -- they are close to the bottom.
