Playing catch up.

I agree. I can't wait for my preferred carrier, Sprint, to catch up to AWE and offer at least some form of location-based services. The technology is ready and accessible, as Cooters has reported, but the privacy issue seems to be scaring off PCS management. I was under the impression that one of the strong selling points of a handset-based localization method such as that offered by GPSOne was the ability for the user to disable the service from the handset. So it boggles my mind that there should be a problem, especially since AWE has been offering location-based services for over a year and a half without any lawsuits that I'm aware of.
