The class warfare rhetoric, which you so beautifully illustrate, focuses on the "rich" (of whatever stripe is expedient for your current discussion) and promotes confiscation of property just because they're "wealthy" or because you don't think they deserve to have it. Like who the heck are you, or any politician for that matter, to make such a judgment? And why the heck should I care abut the Paris Hiltons or the Bush twins who are nothing more than parasites that inherited their $$$ and who don't have a clue what work is? Why should I care if they have to divy up their millions? And if you point out that their ancestors worked.......so what?! Most of the wealthy of this country made their money by grabbing and stealing and flaunting the laws, usually at the expense of the poor. Sorry, big guy, but my heart does not bleed for the rich. Time and time again, they have proven not to be very nice people. Maybe I disagree with the way you live your life or spend your money. Does that mean I should see to it that your money is taken from you? Of course not. Of all the developed countries, our taxing of the rich is the lightest. Get over yourself! A few extra taxes will not hurt you. In fact, it will make you stronger!Besides, confiscation of every so-called rich person's total assets would only have a short term effect on government debt. Then what? It's a stupid notion, just designed to make the not-rich feel better, without accomplishing anything. Think of this way........there'll be more gov't money to spend on your products. In the end, you all will get it back.Second, as I've stated before, spending is the problem. Yeah.......have you written a letter to your local party chairman complaining? Why are so many conservatives mute when this president spends like there is no tomorrow? Saddam caught your tongue?I'm disinclined to give any politician more money just 'cause they want it to buy votes, which is really what it's all about. The whole discussion about the tax system and the persistent "rich do not pay their fair share" mantra, which practically every Dem contender espouses, is designed to appeal to rank jealousies of their constitutencies. Sorry, but the jealousy and anger is already there. You don't pay up; you keep sticking it to the poor; then expect more riots like those in LA during the early 90s.And you are evidently foremost among them, sorry to say. I've learned that sharing the pie more makes for a lot better world.
