Consumer deman remained okay during the recession. It didn't slump as much as past recessions. One of the reasons was because of the tax cuts; a bigger reason was the reduction in mortgage payments due to lower interest rates.

The recession was infact mild and short lived. The reason it feels so much more severe is that bush is the first president to preside over the net loss of jobs...during Clinton's administration, more than 20 million jobs were created. This knucklehead has seen us through the loss of 2.5 million. What Clinton giveth, bush taketh away (and giveth to his friends).

Al, and yet they have the unmitigated gall to condemn Clinton.

Stupid is as stupid does!
