Dean popped up on Larry King and refused to say he was disappointed. Instead, he moved the expectations yardstick back to when he was an asterisk: "If you had told me a year ago that I was going to finish third in Iowa, I would have been delighted."

Howard Fineman said that Dean didn't want to talk about himself, his family or his wife, "and that's not the way to win a presidential campaign."

Moments later, Dean used the same "if you had told me a year ago" line with Chris Matthews. He said he had taken "a bunch of hits" from his opponents and from "you guys," the media.

Uh oh -- Chris Matthews just asked The Wife question. Should Judy have campaigned more? "I think it's about time somebody decided not to use their family as a prop," Dean said.

Everyone within shouting distance of a microphone will now offer a theory of what Dean did wrong. He shouldn't have embraced Al Gore, Bill Bradley and Jimmy Carter. He should have been warm and fuzzy. He should have been more disciplined. And on and on. Never mind that no one had heard of Dean a year ago.http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/nation/columns/kurtzhoward/

" Kerry and Edwards did much better once they stopped trying to be Dean. "...

You haven't been following closely Bruce.

He fired his top people, and many more left, because he was too difficult to work with and wouldn't take their advice.

Kerry's " team " then adopted most of Dean's positions AFTER they realized they were the right ones and the positions that were putting Dean in front.

The Washington insiders were then given the green light by the DNC to go after Dean with anything and everything, and a compliant and complacent press were only to willing to tow the line and amplify the attacks without question.

"Iraq may not be the war on terror itself, but it is critical to the outcome of the war on terror, and therefore any advance in Iraq is an advance forward in that and I disagree with the Governor [Howard Dean]." John Kerry on Dec. 15 "...

This is a prime example.

Dean was against the war,and rightly so,but was clear that once there in this position,it had to be seen through to whatever end.

Kerry was most dishonest in his quote, because he knew DEan was correct that America was no safer with Saddam captured.

Details details details...

Hats off to Kerry and everyone who contributed to this assassination............

The list is in my previous post.

Teddy Kennedy should be proud.

OOPS...sorry..Dean is still alive, isn't he...

Live and learn....

Dean and his supporters will not go down easily....

Kerry will likely loose to Bush if he gets the nomination.

The Republicans are ecstatic tonight....

They just can't hold back their glee...

They feared Dean and were sure he would get the nod…

Let’s continue,shall we.
