Ted, Gore never said he invented the internet.

Like David posted, Gore said he had a hand in the creation of the Internet. You can spin it any way you want to, but it's obvious he was trying to take credit for something he had little to do with. Much like Clinton, you know. ;-)


Prior to Gore, the internet was a bunch of computers storing data. He and others passed "initiatives" to make it more than just about storage. You can disparage all you want but he helped make the net what it is today. You should be thankful. You have a job because of his efforts.

You can laugh all you want but very few historians define history in the way conservatives seem to think it should be defined. Saying repeatedly that Reagan was a great president or that Clinton had nothing to do with the boom of the '90s may make you all feel good but it means diddly squat to the rest of us. Sorry, big guy! ;~))
