Yes, unfortunately you're right. You'd think Congress would get a move on it and restructure this sooner rather than later. There's a small window of opportunity to transition SS into something structurally sound, before the ranks swell to the point that no transition could occur, at which point, they'll just start downsizing it. More than half of all Americans over 65 would live in poverty if it weren't for SS, so you would *think* it should be a top priority for Congress.

Agreed. I like the proposal where a portion of your SS is in your account and you cannot touch it until a certain retirement age.
