You might like to take a look at Germany, where there are no speed limits on highways.

I don't recall the exact numbers, but I remember seeing a study that shows accidents on German highways are much lower than most other countries.

And how did they accomplish this counterintuitive miracle?

Oh. Got numbers?

And another check this past New Year's Eve also showed no improvement. We did not see the sun for an entire week. The sky was so gray that we couldn't even tell WHERE the sun was.
I have to have a talk with OMD. He has been assuring me the Brits were reserving their ghastly weather just for me.

And the food was ghastly, as usual, although we did pay more than GBP 500
GOOD GOD! YOU WERE HAD! FOR THAT ****????

Truer words never said, which is why I suggest the moron who decreased the speed limit from 110 km/hr and 90 km/hr (at tunnels etc) to 90km/hr and 70km/hr should be burnt at the stake.
So you think approaching a narrow opening at high speed is a good idea?

No wonder you're liberal! :-)

Also, he is solely responsible for me not adhering to the speed limit.
Now THAT, madam, is CLEARLY wrong. This is like blaming your death on the bottle of nitroglycerin you were juggling!

so I drive above 150 km/hr or so
I suggest you stay clear of the United States.

There you go :-)
No, there YOU go. In most states, that is chargeable as reckless driving and will get you a trip to the hoosegow.
