That's true of all cars used for short trips in cold weather. My in-town mileage on my new Camry dropped from about 25 to about 18 when the weather got quite cold. Thats because of a lot of trips of 2-3 miles, where it takes half the trip for the engine to reach efficient opeating temperature, and also the electronic controls keep it out of overdrive and must keep the fuel mixture rich.
