The US did not unilaterally invade Afghanistan -- we were attacked by a group clearly operating out of Afghanistan. The Taliban could have given us access - we invaded when they did not. This is pure self-defense. No such attack ever came to us from Iraq. The only attack that gave us a reason to be involved with Iraq was the invasion of Kuwait -- and that was a matter for the UN, pure and simple. You might not like, but it does not change the facts. The invasion of Iraq was unilateral with no proof of a threat, and indeed no threat. If there had been proof of a threat then we would have had support from the UN -- but we were unwilling to allow inspections to continue.
