Mike, I wasn't sure so I called my sister, the paralegal in NH. There, Independents and undeclared can vote in the Demo or Repub primaries, but must declare themselves one or the other to vote. However, you can re-declare yourself as an Independent on the way out. :-) So yes, I would call that open. Project Vote Smart, the source I used, had that wrong. Sorry about that - I hope the dates are correct!
