If he does well the next month, I am looking forward to the in depth reporting. Clark had "comer" written all over him. The key to promotion in the service is presentations. If you are an outstanding briefer, the climb is easy. Look at Powell. The Black General who did the Centcom press briefing will be a four star.

I have been doing some "outside the box" thinking. When Bush is reelected, he should say that Secretary Powell has tendered his resignation, and that we cannot afford to be divisive about our war on terror.

He is therefore announcing that he has offered the position of Secretary of State to Bill Clinton.
