Is this due to low traffic on the dev site
OR
Can I expect the same response when we roll out into membership usage?

Both.

The average page there sends only about 30% of the bytes of the equivalent page here, which definitely helps. And when it goes into production, it'll be running on substantially more horsepower than the current site has. More horsepower than the development site is currently using, actually, because right now the machine that's destined to be only a db server is being both db server and webserver for the development site. I'm not planning to buy webservers for it until just a couple of weeks before putting the new site into production.

I'm glad to see the delete boxes have been removed for individual threads.

How do you know I'm not planning to put them in and just haven't gotten to it yet?

Oh. Probably the (currently non-functional) "Remove" link on the right side?

I never did like the checkboxes and they add a LOT of bytes to the page, so they won't be on the new site.

P.S> Any time frame as to when portfolio links will be set up?

The fate of portfolios is still very much up in the air. I'm focusing on the message boards first, then will look into migrating the portfolios from the database then seeing what it'll take to get them working, quote-wise.

Portfolios might not exist on the new site at all. Same with quotes and charts. But if I decide to lose them, everyone will be given ample notice so they can move them elsewhere.
